Dr. Kelly Snell - Veterinarian

Dr. Snell joined the Avenue family in August 2018. She is a 2017 graduate of the University of Illinois school of Veterinary Medicine.

During her time at U of I she had to opportunity to travel to South Africa to volunteer with a vaccine clinic and assist with wildlife in underserved communities. She is an enthusiastic, compassionate veterinarian dedicated to her patients and their humans. Dr. Snell strives to provide the best care possible while ensuring clients understand their pets’ specific health status and needs with thorough and transparent client communication.

She is particularly interested in ophthalmology and dermatology and has a special interest in caring for animals with allergies. She specifically loves her coworkers at the Avenue clinic.

Dr. Snell grew up not too far from Tinley Park with her parents, two sisters and a family of pets, including a dog Mia, cat, Nikki, and numerous exotics, bunnies, hamsters, Guinea pigs and fish. She also has a feline fiend called Colonel Rat Bastard who loves to play and will jump into any box or bag, even if it is full of goods or still in your arms! She also enjoys reading, gardening, watching movies and spending time with her family.
